Accessibility statement

Our target

We aim for intuites.healthcare to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA. We are not there on every page yet; this statement says what is done and what is not.

What is in place

• A “Skip to main content” link at the top of every page, and one <h1> per page with a logical heading order beneath it.
• Every form field has a visible label; required fields are marked; error messages are written in words, not just colour.
• Text and interface colours are checked against a 4.5:1 contrast minimum, and control borders against 3:1.
• Buttons and form controls are at least 44 pixels tall, so they work with a finger as well as a mouse.
• The FAQ accordion is built on the browser’s native <details> element, so it works with a keyboard, a screen reader and with scripting turned off.
• Images carry alternative text, and article images declare their size so the page does not shift while they load.
• Motion is kept short (under 150 ms) and nothing on the site flashes.
• The site is usable at 200% zoom and on a 320-pixel-wide screen without horizontal scrolling.

Known limitations

• Older blog articles were generated before the current template and may have images without dimensions or headings that skip a level. New articles follow the current template; older ones are being brought up to it.
• The Cloudflare Turnstile bot check on our forms is a third-party component. It offers an accessible challenge, but we do not control its interface.
• Job descriptions supplied by client facilities sometimes arrive as unstructured text and are published as received.
• The floating visitor and applicant counters are decorative; they are hidden from assistive technology.
